FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for control of electromagnets (EM) of valves and switching devices. Proposed is to measure the current value through the winding from the winding and at the time when, when the electromagnet operates, the current value of the current through the winding begins to decrease, determining the value of the local current maximum, and at the moment when after termination of armature movement at actuation the current value through the winding ends and its increase begins to generate a signal indicative of the occurred electromagnet actuation. Besides, proposed is the solution allowing to determine initial position of armature relative to stack (initial gap) by value of local current maximum and value of voltage applied to winding at moment of local current maximum achievement, which occurred before voltage supply to electromagnet winding. Disclosed is a functional diagram of a device for determining the position of an armature EM, oriented to use as a main control element, which provides implementation of operations of the disclosed method, a microcontroller PIC16F1778. Efficiency and efficiency of the proposed technical solution is confirmed experimentally.

EFFECT: technical result is broader functional capabilities and reduced effect of destabilizing factors.
