FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical engineering and can be used to diagnose the state of drive electromagnets (EM) of valves and switching devices. The technical result is achieved by reducing the number of continuously measured electrical parameters and the amount of necessary experimental data, as well as by simplifying the calculated and experimental approximating dependences used to determine the value of the gap between the armature and the EM stop.
EFFECT: technical result is to simplify the method for determining the position of the EM armature and the device for its implementation.
