FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method for monitoring the pressure at the inlet of a normally closed gas solenoid valve includes determining the local maximum current at the beginning of the movement of the electromagnet armature when a supply voltage is applied to its winding. Before starting work, the value of the initial gap between the armature and the stop of the electromagnet (EM) of the valve is controlled, and each time the valve is turned on, the voltage of the power source is measured, and then the signal, corresponding to the magnitude of the current in the electromagnet winding when the supply voltage is applied to it, is processed by a low-pass filter and determined local maximum of the filtered signal. The values of the obtained local maximum and the measured voltage of the power source are used to determine the pressure value at the inlet of the gas solenoid valve at the time of its opening using the passport data of the solenoid valve on the dependence of the local maximum of the filtered signal on the pressure at the inlet of the solenoid valve for the nominal value of the initial gap between the armature and the stop electromagnet and a known value of the supply voltage. To implement the proposed method, a functional diagram of the device is proposed. Most of the elements of this circuit, which provide processing of current and voltage measurement signals, are made using the resources of the microcontroller and its internal peripheral modules.

EFFECT: expanding the functionality of pressure monitoring, including determining with sufficient accuracy the specific value of gas pressure at the EMC inlet and, in some cases, without direct pressure measurement by traditionally used sensors.
