FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used to diagnose the state of drive electromagnets (EM) of valves and switching devices. The current value of the armature acceleration is converted into an electrical signal proportional to it. It is integrated over the time interval of the armature movement from the beginning of its movement until the moment it touches the stop when it is triggered or until the armature contacts the stop when released, thus forming a signal proportional to the current value of the armature movement speed. This signal is integrated on the same time interval, forming at each moment of time a signal proportional to the current position of the armature during its movement, the moment when the armature reaches the mechanical limiter (stop when triggered and stop when released), characterized by a change in the sign of acceleration, is recorded, and moment of time a signal that is a sign of reaching the end position of the armature when the EM is triggered or released. Variants of the technical implementation of the time intervals for signal integration, proportional to the current value of the EM armature acceleration, are proposed. A functional diagram of a device for diagnosing the state of an EM armature is developed, focused on using the PIC16F1778 microcontroller as a control element, which ensures the implementation of the operations of the claimed method. An algorithm for the operation of the device for diagnosing the state of the EM armature is proposed. The efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed technical solution have been confirmed experimentally.
