FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of long bars of non-ferrous metal by means of continuous casting. Proposed plant comprises moving casting shell mold consisting of successively arranged segments, each of which has a section of the casting shell mold defined by bottom and sides, open on sides directed to adjoining segments. Segments are made movable along closed outline, which has rectilinear section in casting area. Segments are aligned along section and defined by bottom and sides section of casting shell mold, which is continuous, straight-line and closed, at least on section of path downstream from casting area, covering means on its side, which runs opposite to the bottom. Downstream of rectilinear section (4) the direction of the segments outline changes for gradual disengagement of the casting shell mold from the metal rod produced by solidification of the metal in the casting shell mold. Covering device contains a belt, which passes along the closed outline and is supported by the appropriate supporting device. Proposed device comprises device to clamp rectilinear belt section facing rectilinear section of segments outline to segments side opposite to their bottom. Supporting device for belt contains at least two supporting rolls and at least one tension roller, having mutually parallel axes, which are oriented perpendicular to rectilinear section of segments outline. Supporting rollers are installed in fixed position on the same beam, which passes parallel to rectilinear section of segments outline.
EFFECT: as a result, higher accuracy of location and movement of elements, which support and conduct the belt, effectively preventing metal penetration between casting bodies and belt.
