SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the pharmaceutical industry, in particular to a method of producing positively charged liposomal vesicles for use as lipophilic molecules carriers, according to which in a mixture of solvents, hydrogenated phospholipids are dissolved, cationic excipient - octadecylamine and a lipophilic molecule, which is a carotenoid selected from lutein and zeaxanthin; obtained at previous stage composition is dried to remove solvent; dried composition is hydrated to form liposomal vesicles, which are then homogenised and sterilized. Also disclosed is a method of delivering a lipophilic molecule into eye tissues, according to which the liposomal vesicles obtained using said method are delivered using iontophoresis.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides preparing a composition of liposomal vesicles for effective intraocular delivery of carotenoid (lutein/zeaxanthin) using iontophoresis.
