FIELD: sampling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sampler for collecting samples from a molten metal bath, in particular, molten iron, comprising a carrying tube having a submerged end; and sampling chamber assembly. Sampling chamber assembly comprises a closing plate and a body. Housing comprises a submersible end having a first opening for an inlet pipe, and an opposite end having a second hole for the gas connector, a first surface extending between the submerged end and the opposite end. First surface has first recess near submersion end and second recess, wherein first recess is analysis zone, and second recess represents a ventilation zone.

EFFECT: invention allows improving the quality of direct samplers of direct analysis and the quality of the obtained samples, respectively.
