FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment for determining fuel consumption in an internal combustion engine. Internal combustion engine test device comprises a data collection and processing unit 2 connected to the engine test mode sensors 3, command unit 4 connected to the engine operation control elements 5, and fuel consumption measurement system 6 in test engine 1, having fuel supply tank 7, circulating pump 8 connected thereto, fuel pressure regulator 9, deaerator with separating element 11 and pipelines for connection of measurement system to pressure 12 and drain 14 fuel lines of tested engine. In pressure line 10 of circulating pump 8, fuel filter 16 is arranged in series, fuel flow meter 17 connected to data collection and processing facility 2, and compensation vessel 18 with level sensor 19, communicated with pipelines 13 and 15 of tested engine via controlled valves 20, 21. Device is additionally equipped with damping tank 22 made in the form of a sealed tank with channels for supply 24 and fuel discharge 25 and an air cavity located in its upper part and connected to the fuel supply tank 7 through pressure regulator 9. Separating element 11 of deaerator is made in form of permeable partition located in lower part of sealed tank between fuel supply and discharge channels. Compensation tank 18 is made in the form of a cylindrical tank with a conical top cover and an air cap connected to drain pipeline 31 of the fuel supply tank through controlled valve 32 connected to command unit 4, wherein level sensor 19 is arranged in air cap and is connected to data collection and processing facility 2.

EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of measurement results of fuel consumption with broader functional capabilities of the device.
