FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control and measuring equipment, namely, devices for measuring the volumetric flow rate of liquid fuel by an internal combustion engine (ICE), and can be used to accurately measure the volumetric fuel consumption of wheeled vehicles with injection single-circuit power systems for gasoline internal combustion engines during laboratory or road tests. The device (1) is installed in the gap of the main line connecting the fuel tank (24) with the rail (8) with injectors by connecting the input and output fuel lines (6 and 7) into it, respectively. The pressure gauge (10) makes it possible to find out the value of the standard pressure, the standard fuel pressure regulator at the outlet of the fuel pump (5). By closing the needle valve (20), the fuel supply to the rail (8) with injectors is blocked. The scale (4) of the measuring tube makes it possible to monitor fuel consumption, and fuel injection occurs due to the air pressure created in the receiver (14) of the boost system (13). The use of a rod (18) installed in the hole of the filler plug (19) provides more accurate tests. With the help of the valve (16) for injection, the receiver (14) is filled with air, the pressure of which is controlled by a pressure gauge (11). The reducer (15) stabilizes the system air pressure to the standard value. The ball valve (17) supplies air under pressure to the measuring tank (2), and the pressure gauge (9) controls the pressure created, which should be equal to the pressure of the pressure gauge (10), while fuel from the measuring tank (2) is supplied to the rail (8) with injectors under pressure. The pressure relief valve (12) is used when it is necessary for initially filling or re-filling the measuring tank (2) with fuel. The vertical position of the measuring tank (2) is periodically monitored by the level sensor (21) during the testing process.
EFFECT: simplification of the design of a device for measuring the volumetric fuel consumption of gasoline internal combustion engines (ICE) with an injection single-circuit fuel supply system during laboratory or road tests both at medium or high, and at minimum performance indicators of fuel equipment in specified time intervals with a sufficiently high degree of accuracy.
