SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a virtual viewpoint image generation system. Disclosed is an information processing device for a system which generates an image of a virtual viewpoint based on image data obtained by imaging from a plurality of directions using a plurality of cameras. Information processing device includes a receiving unit configured to obtain a foreground image based on an area of the object, which includes a predetermined object in the captured image for generating a virtual viewpoint image, and a background image based on an area different from the region of the object in the captured image, wherein the obtained foreground image and the background image obtained have different frame rates, and an output unit configured to output a foreground image and a background image which are obtained by the acquisition unit and which are connected to each other.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling possibility of associating a foreground image and background image with each other based on information of time.
