FIELD: processing systems.
SUBSTANCE: information-processing device includes a receiving unit made with the ability to obtain a foreground image based on an object area that includes a pre-defined object in the captured image to generate a virtual viewpoint image, and a background image based on an area other than the object area in the captured image. The resulting foreground image and background image have different frame rates. The device also contains an output unit made with the ability to output a foreground image and a background image, which are received by the receiving unit and which are connected to each other.
EFFECT: technical result is the generation of a virtual viewpoint image based on image data obtained by performing image formation from multiple directions using multiple cameras.
