SUBSTANCE: method of upsampling image data from a first level to a second layer in a scalable video system involves determining scaling and rounding parameters in response to requirements of a system of scalable video images to bit depth; generation of first data with high sampling by filtration of image data from first level; generating first intermediate data by scaling first high-sampled data by a first shift parameter; generating second data with high sampling by filtering the first intermediate data, wherein filtering the first intermediate data is performed on the second spatial direction using the second rounding parameter; generation of second intermediate data by scaling of second data with high sampling by means of second shift parameter and generation of output data with increased sampling for the second level by means of cutting off second intermediate data.
EFFECT: technical result consists in maintaining accuracy of upsampling operations.
