SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Method of processing slice video data in a video encoding system, wherein video data of a colour component in each slice are divided into coding units (CB) according to a first and a second separation method, comprising: obtaining input data associated with the current CB in the current slice; determining a depth flag, where the direction of the QP information signal for each CB in the current slice is determined by the depth comparison result; calculation of combined depth of current CB according to first and second separation depths of current CB, which correspond to first and second separation methods; comparison of combined depth of current CB with depth flag; determining and introducing QP information for a current CB in a video stream or syntax highlighting of QP information for a current CB is syntaxically extracted from the video stream if the combined depth of the current CB is less than or equal to the depth flag; and quantisation of the residual signal of the current CB or recovery of the quantised residual signal of the current CB according to the QP information of the current CB.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing processing of video data in accordance with information of quantisation parameters (QP).
