SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing and, more specifically, to a method and a device for signalling chroma quantisation parameters. Technical result is achieved by receiving a bit stream; obtaining a joint coding of chroma residuals (JCCR) control flag from the bitstream; obtaining chromaticity mapping information from the bitstream based on the JCCR control flag; obtaining at least one chroma quantization parameter (QP) offset from the bitstream based on the JCCR control flag; obtaining a QP value for a current chroma block based on the obtained chroma correlation information and at least one obtained chroma QP offset; performing inverse quantization with respect to the current chroma block using the determined QP value.
EFFECT: providing improved degree of video compression with minimum loss of image quality.
