FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used in endoscopic ventriculocisternostomy of the third ventricle bottom in children with hydrocephaly. That is ensured by skin incision of 5 mm with application of a milling hole in a subject bone with a hand drill of diameter 4.2 mm. A dura mater and a lateral ventricle are punctured by endoscope 0° with 2 mm cladding without dissecting and coagulating the dura mater and cerebrum. Endoscopic ventriculocisternostomy of the bottom of the third ventricle is performed. Interpeduncular and prepontine cistern is inspected; a basilar artery, a slope, a bridge, an abducting nerves - a VI pair of cranial nerves, a proximal bifurcation of a basilar artery are visualized. Enumerated structures are intact, wherein endoscope without rigid fixation is held in one hand.
EFFECT: method provides effective treatment of patients with this pathology even in cases with very small sizes of interventricular orifices (Monro) or narrow third ventricle, as well as in anatomical deformation, due to minimized access.
