FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of manufacture, adjustment and testing of navigation instruments and devices and can be used for adjustment of vibration-frequency accelerometers. Method of reducing sensitivity of the vibro-frequency accelerometer to lateral acceleration consists in the fact that in the accelerometer containing the frame housing and the base, frame housing is fixed on base first by means of one pin and two fasteners, resonance frequency is determined in absence of lateral acceleration, then resonance frequency is measured at action of lateral acceleration and the required value of value of change of resonance frequency is obtained by turning of frame housing to angles α and/or β, thereafter, a frame hole is made in place with the frame body and a frame body is finally rigidly fixed on the base by the second pin.

EFFECT: reduced error of output signal of vibro-frequency accelerometer at lateral acceleration.
