FIELD: metallurgy; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of refractory articles and can be used in metallurgy and machine building. In the method of producing refractory articles, comprising crushing slag of aluminothermic reduction of metal, obtaining a mixture by mixing crushed slag with boric acid, sintering mixture, slag is crushed to fraction of not more than 4 mm, slag of aluminothermic reduction of metal is used, containing, wt. %: aluminium oxide 72–85, iron oxide 6–15, silicon oxide 3–4, magnesium oxide 3–4, manganese oxide 1.6–2, impurities are the rest, with the following ratio of components of the mixture, wt. %: slag of aluminothermic reduction of metal 98–99, boric acid - the rest, the mixture is sintered at temperature of 590–610 ºC.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining articles with refractoriness of 1900 °C.
