SUBSTANCE: method for manufacture of antiferromagnetic and thermocompensated spring of balance of watch article, including the following steps: selection of nonmagnetic iron-chromium-nickel-manganese-beryllium compensating alloy containing in weight percent, including final values: manganese—from 21.0 % to 25.0 %, nickel—from 9.0 % to 13.0 %, chrome—from 6.0 % to 15.0 %, beryllium—from 0.2 % to 2.0 %, in residue—iron, total content of nickel and manganese is more or equal to 33.0 %, processing the alloy to obtain a workpiece, molding the workpiece by casting and/or forging and/or drawing and/or rolling and/or drawing to produce a workpiece of a spring wire; winding wire on a coiler to produce a spiral spring, performing at least thermal stabilization treatment of the spiral spring by annealing at temperature of 540 °C to 650 °C, for 30 to 200 minutes to obtain a balance spring.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of making a balance spring of a clock article.
