FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine and can be used to treat or alleviate the effects of a solid tumour that is present in humans. For this purpose, a dose of colony-forming units (CFU) of C.novyi containing approximately 1× 103–1 × 106 of CFUs suspended in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or solution is injected into a patient with a tumour. Also a method for microscopically accurate destruction of tumour cells in humans, a method for cytoreduction of a solid tumour, a method for destroying a solid tumour, a unit dose, and a kit for treating or attenuating the effects of a solid tumour that is present in humans are proposed.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides treatment of a solid tumour in a patient.
