FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for determining the overall dimensions of cargoes carried. Automated system of commercial inspection (ASCI) for automatic detection of commercial faults of cars in trains by construction of 3D model of car, its intellectual processing, visual control. ASCI comprises chambers installed on the left, on the right and above the track, laser scanners, one on the left and on the right, one above the track. Also, in place of installation of cameras and scanners on rail there installed is strain meter wheel counting transducer, and on the left, on the right or above the rail track there is an optical sensor of speed measurement. Data from cameras, scanners and sensors are transmitted over local computer network to inputs of signal processing module, output of which is connected to network switch, which transmits signals to PC of automated workstation (AWS). AWS implements visualization, processing, storage and archiving of information, results of the performed control are compared with the information received as per results of the previous inspections of the route, as well as the predicted probability of further change of the state of the cargo is obtained.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of safety on railways.
