FIELD: calculating; counting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Such a result is achieved by the fact that a command is executed and execution includes selection of at least part of the input operand as a result to be placed in the selected location. Selection is based on a command control, wherein the control element of the command indicates a user-specified size of the input operand to be selected as a result. Result sign is detected based on several criteria, including the result value obtained based on the command control element, having the first fixed ratio or the second fixed ratio relative to the selected value. Result and the sign are stored in the selected location to provide an output terminal to be used when processing in a computing environment.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing the possibility of replacing multicast commands, which are to be used for performing operation of assigning a sign, by a single command.
