FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to handheld electronic devices. Method of measuring length of track using a pocket electronic device comprises steps of: detecting acceleration of the handheld electronic device when the handheld electronic device moves along the path, thereby obtaining a handheld device acceleration graph; and calculating the path length from the acceleration graph using the integration procedure. In some cases projection of distance along required measured path is used.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring length of track.
