RECEIVING SONAR CHANNEL Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01S15/00

Abstract RU 2719730 C1

FIELD: hydro acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics and can be used in active hydroacoustic systems (sonars) when searching for and recognizing underwater objects, tracking bottom topography, for navigational support of underwater vehicles navigation in difficult conditions. Disclosed is a receiving sonar channel comprising a two-dimensional phased antenna system, a multichannel amplifying device and a beam pattern former, in which receiving antenna system is cross-shaped in the form of two mutually perpendicular equidistant linear phased antenna arrays installed in one plane, horizontal N-channel and vertical M-channel. From elements in the area of intersection of two equidistant linear phased antenna arrays channels are formed, providing a uniform pitch of their installation along the entire length of both antenna arrays, which eliminates the appearance of additional high-order diffraction maxima in their beam patterns.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of target detection by angular coordinates and longer range of detection with fewer channels in antenna system.
