FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for mechanical testing on three axes and a method of simulating the process of freezing water under high pressure to obtain ice. Device comprises main part of loading system, freezing system and system for testing specimens; in main part of loading system flange, axial pressure piston and pressure receiving shell form loading main part, and axial pressure and limiting pressure are controlled directly by device with servo drive for testing on three axes and indirectly by water-oil separator, respectively; in the freezing system, the peripheral part freezing liquid circulation channel and the base freezing fluid circulation channel are connected to an external cold source for cooling and freezing, and a dissolvable shell is provided on the peripheral portion of the sample to ensure formation of ice; in the sample testing system, a number of fibre-optic sensors in the sample is connected to a fibre-optic data acquisition device for measuring temperature and deformations. Present invention interacts with device with servo drive for testing by three axes, water-oil separator, external cold source and fibre-optic data collection device, so that water can be frozen to produce ice under pressure, limited by dissolvable shell, which is dissolved after a sample of ice is created, and then mechanical testing can be carried out on three axes directly in natural stressed state after water is frozen to produce ice under pressure.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of testing on three axes of ice samples, directly frozen from water under pressure, under conditions of controlling deformations during the whole process.
