FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for controlling and reducing current consumption on the vehicle fuel system fuel vapor locking valve. Disclosed are methods and systems for controlling and reducing current consumption on the fuel vapor locking valve. In one example, the current supplied to the fuel vapor locking valve is controlled proportionally to pressure in the fuel tank to compensate for pressure in the fuel tank acting on the fuel vapor locking valve (408). Current on fuel vapor locking valve is adjusted to reduce current consumption.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of fuel vapor locking valve electric current consumption.
