SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to compression stockings, in particular compression class I, method of their manufacture and application of such compression stockings. Present invention relates in particular to a compression stocking having a tubular compression area, wherein the compression area preferably creates an ankle compression pressure of at least 2.4 kPa and maximum of 2.8 kPa, wherein the compression area is formed from a knitted fabric having a weft thread, characterized in that the weft yarn has a core thread with a fineness of at least 470 dtex.
