FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and power engineering, mainly to methods and devices for extracting water from humid air and obtaining electric power by an alternative method, in particular due to hydrostatic non-equilibrium of atmosphere and caused by it air pressure drop. Essence of the invention on extraction of water from warm moist air consists in creation of the organized flow of warm moist air, its transportation to height up to 3,500 m and condensation of water from it in the form of rain by means of turbulent mixing with cold air from the upper layers of atmosphere. Listed operations are performed by means of a device consisting of a vertical circulation (smoke type) pipe with height of 100–500 m and a turbo-capacitor made in the form of a cylinder with hollow walls filled with helium. Turbo-capacitor is retained at height of 1,000–3,500 m by means of winches and cords (type of barrage balloons) and ensures efficient turbulent mixing of warm moist air flows from the circulation pipe and cold air from the upper layers of the atmosphere with formation of a condensate in the form of rain. Electric power is generated by partial use of differential pressure in circulation pipe.
EFFECT: technical result is high efficiency of water extraction from air without energy consumption from external sources.
