FIELD: meteorology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to meteorology and can be used to reduce shortage of fresh water, mitigate drought, prevent desertification of territories and replenishment of reservoirs. Device for inducing artificial torrential rains comprises aerospace liquid-propellant jet engine, liquid fuel and liquid oxygen tanks, hygroscopic nanopowder sprayer and set of instruments for measuring parameters of atmosphere, jet stream and artificial rains. Aerospace engine is fixed on a fixed support with a nozzle directed upwards and throws a jet stream consisting of water vapour and carbon dioxide into the zenith. Sprayer is installed on the unmanned aerial vehicle, which is equipped with an onboard sensor for measuring the temperature of the reaction jet and introduces hygroscopic nanoaerosol into the jet stream.

EFFECT: proposed device for inducing artificial torrential rains expands the range of means of such purpose, does not require large areas for installation of the device, provides ecological cleanness of torrential rains.
