FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used for restorative treatment of femoral fractures. What is presented is a method for calculating the maximum allowable load on the femur after osteosynthesis. Before beginning fracture consolidation, computer simulation of osteosynthesis is performed to determine the initial maximum allowable load (MAL) of the extremity in conditions of osteosynthesis in kilograms. A load difference (LD) is calculated between the initial maximum allowable load and the full load on the femur equal to the body weight of the patient. According to X-ray patterns, a consolidation factor is calculated α by formula α=2-difference of optical density of fracture zone and cortical bone layer (DOD), based on which is calculated in kilograms maximum allowable load on femur (CML) by formula CML=MAL+(LD X α).
EFFECT: method provides selection of conditions for activation of the patient, reduces the risk of complications associated with incorrect dosing of loads by determining the maximum allowable load on the extremity.
