FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration. Described is a method of assembling a filtering device with a rotary drum, comprising a drum structure, which supports annular filter material. Drum structure comprises filtrate compartments, supporting drum, rib elements resting on drum and limiting filtrate compartments, and cover elements, each of which has an end attached to the rib elements using a clamp and overlapping cover. Cover elements form a coating in circumferential direction around the supporting drum on top of the filtrate compartments. Each clamp has a support section for supporting the edge of the covering element. Each cover has an overlapping section for overlapping the covering element. Overlapping section contains multiple tabs located at distance from each other along the longitudinal axis of the overlapping section. Each tab has the first section, which in the assembled drum extends perpendicular to the support section, and the second section located at an angle relative to the first section and continuing parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cover. Method comprises steps of installing end of covering element on support section, installation of overlapping section above end of covering element and inserting corresponding tab in corresponding hole in support section, moving the overlapping section along the support section so that the second section of the tab is under the support section, thereby holding the cover on the clamp, wherein the end of the covering element is gripped between the cover and the clamp.

EFFECT: simplified assembly of the device.
