FIELD: control of technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to control of technological processes, in which processed material is stored or transported in pipelines, reservoirs or containers. Disclosed group of inventions includes method and device for determination of electric property of material or materials in target area in process pipeline or container, as well as a machine-readable medium containing a computer program product, which includes program code instructions, which, when the processor is executing, enable the said method to perform the disclosed method. Method comprises: receiving measurement data representing measured values of a measurable electrical value depending on the electrical property of interest of the material or materials in the target area, measured by the measuring probe having a plurality of measurement elements coupled, with possibility of measurement, with a target area, obtaining an observation model describing the relationship between observations of the measurable electrical value corresponding to the measurements made by the measuring probe, and the electrical property of the material or materials in the target region of interest, obtaining simulated observation data representing simulated values of the measurable electrical value generated by the observation model for the initial approximation of the electrical property of interest or the materials in the target region, determination of target function, including difference in observations between measured and simulated values of measurable electric value, as well as one or more a priori models, and determining, based on the target function, corrected approximation of the electrical property of interest in the target region, and obtaining, based on the corrected approximation, estimation data representing an estimate of the electrical property of interest of the material or materials in the target area, characterized in that the method also includes: obtaining simulated statistical data on position error in observations of a measurable electrical value caused by difference in the actual position of the measuring probe, determined relative to the boundary surface, from a predetermined reference position, and obtaining an observation model so as to describe observations of the measurable electrical value as corresponding to measurements made using the measurement probe in the reference position, and as dependent on position error, which actual position makes observations, wherein it is determined that position error behaves in accordance with modelled statistical data on position error.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing significant increase in the reliability of determining the electrical property of interest.
