SUBSTANCE: method for determination of gap at tops of gas turbine engine blades for safe start of gas turbine engine (1) after shutdown. Method is implemented in controller (200), functionally connected with multiple means (300) of temperature detection, selectively located on gas turbine engine (1). Method comprises steps of: monitoring temperature of gas turbine engine (1) using a plurality of temperature detecting means (300); detecting temperature of upper part of housing and temperature of lower part of housing based on monitored temperature; determining whether the minimum clearance at the tops of the gas turbine engine blades (1) has been exceeded, partially based on the detected body temperatures; and initiating restart of gas turbine engine (1) after determining that gas turbine engine (1) tips minimum clearance height is exceeded.
EFFECT: system (100) provides means of estimating risks for forecasting clearances of tops of turbine blades in order to provide conditions for starting at any moment of operation of rotary device, as soon as it is determined that components have exceeded minimum value of gap, that is free, instead of waiting for complete cooling of engine, which is determined by the period of prohibition on engine starting and/or period of prohibition based on temperature.
