SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vehicle equipped with an engine, in particular to controlling the starting and stopping of the engine by a stop-start controller. A method for controlling the starting and stopping of engine 1000 is disclosed; if a signal indicative of a request for restarting engine 1000 is generated, engine 1000 is restarted, wherein the engine speed (N) is within a speed range, and absolute pressure (MAP) in inlet 1003 of engine 1000 is below a predetermined MAPlim.
EFFECT: technical result is the delay reduction.
