FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for manipulation of thin flexible articles or materials, which can be used for attachment of optical fibre to coil. Equipment comprises a tape feed station configured to cut and feed ribbon pieces, an attachment device having a mandrel with a collector for receiving a belt piece from the tape supply station for attaching the optical fibre to the coil, and a drive for movement of the fastening device and for pressing the collector with said tape to the optical fibre and a coil for attaching said optical fibre to said coil. In equipment for attaching optical fibre to coil there is cutter for cutting optical fibre, wherein said cutter is a blade located near spring-loaded mandrel of attachment device with possibility of protruding beyond header, when spring-loaded mandrel is compressed, for attachment of optical fibre to coil and cutting optical fibre in one motion, when collector of attachment device is pressed to optical fibre and coil.
EFFECT: invention allows automating process of optical fibre attachment to coil.
