FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing fermentation products from a starch-containing material, involving: (a) liquefaction of the starch-containing material by means of a mixture of enzymes, containing 1 to 20 g serine thermostable protease/metric ton (MT) of the starch-containing material, characterised by at least 80% identity of the sequence with SEQ ID NO: 3; (b) saccharification of the product from stage (a); (c) fermentation by means of a suitable organism, and (d) optionally isolation of the product produced at stage (C).
EFFECT: invention allows for use of the protease in unfavourable conditions while preserving or improving the activity thereof.
