FIELD: electric power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric power industry and can be used for monitoring, protection and control of equipment of electric substation designed in compliance with digital substation concept. According to the method of monitoring, protection and control of electrical substation equipment, currents and voltages are measured by means of digital transformers, in measurement and communication units of which filtration and normalization of signals of primary current and voltage converters, analogue-to-digital conversion of signals of primary converters of current and voltage, primary processing of digitized signals, performing diagnostics of primary current and voltage converters and measuring-communication unit, determining current parameters, determining electric energy quality indicators, performing relay protection and automation algorithms, forming data frames with instantaneous values of current and voltage and sending them to adjacent intelligent electronic devices through network interfaces, generating data packets with current parameters and sending them to an automated process control system, under action of protection digital signals of control actions are generated, conversion of data of signals into discrete ones is performed, control actions are generated by output relays and at the same time data frames with control actions are generated, sending data frames with control actions to adjacent intelligent electronic devices, and instantaneous values of current and voltage are recorded into data file, then generating records in diagnostics, accounting of electric energy, electric energy quality indicators, relay protection and automation at protection action, wherein data files, journals and current diagnostics data, accounting for electrical energy, electrical energy quality indicators are transmitted at the request of the automated process control system.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability and efficiency of relay protection and automation.
