FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used, for example, to control roundness of conical holes in production of fuel equipment of diesel internal combustion engines. Proposed method comprises feeding compressed air into mating of controlled part and gage fitted on mounting surface of controlled part. Estimated deviation of the shape is the roundness of the surface of the conical hole, and to assess the tolerance of the deviation, the duration of the change in the given range of air pressure in the cavity of the device above the controlled conical hole is used. Device for implementation of the conical holes control method includes a compressed air supply system to the monitored surface, a gauge and a reading device, wherein the steel ball is used as the gauge. Degree of accuracy of the ball is determined by the tolerance value of roundness of the controlled conical hole specified in the design documentation, and the reading device includes a manometer and a stopwatch.
EFFECT: simplified roundness check procedure of tapered holes.
