FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improvement of method of producing water-complex of titanium glycerosolvate - Tisolum. Method involves reaction of tetrabutoxytitanium with preheated glycerol in molar ratio of 1:14 while heating and holding the reaction mass for a certain period of time and subsequent stripping of the formed butyl alcohol in a vacuum with further drying and cooling reaction mass to a certain temperature, adding water to the residue, with weight ratio of water to residue = 1:1.8–1:1.9. Thus before reacting glycerol is heated to temperature of 90 ± 5 °C, after mixing glycerol and tetrabutoxytitanium carried extract the reaction mass at 90±5 °C under continuous stirring for 20–30 minutes. Butyl alcohol obtained by reacting glycerol and tetrabutoxytitanium is distilled at 120–140 °C in a vacuum. Final drying is carried out at 130 ± 5 °C, after which the reaction mass is cooled to temperature of 90–110 °C and treated continuously with purified water, preheated to 60–90 °C, followed by instant gelation of the product in the form of a soft stable gel.

EFFECT: invention provides faster process of producing Tisolum and wider range of its quality (pH, dynamic viscosity).
