FIELD: heat insulating articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat-insulating articles intended for isolation along the perimeter of various rectilinear non-planar objects, mainly pipelines, shells, ventilation ducts. Heat-insulating article contains heat-insulating elements of elongated shape – lamellas – arranged in parallel to each other and fixed relative to each other by fastening elements in the form of metal strip. Said lamellas feature resiliently deformable insulating material. Lobes are formed in metal strip by bending perpendicularly to surface of metal strip of inner part of Π-shaped, or U-shaped, or V-shaped slots. Lateral sides of the slots are directed along the longitudinal axis of the strip. At the end of each bent lobe there is a slot directed parallel to the lateral sides of the lobe, dividing the upper part of each lobe into two adjacent sections to enable bending of both sections of the upper part of lobe in opposite directions from each other with formation of two hooks, which height corresponds to slot length. Hooks have a common base, but are directed in different directions. Height of lobes is less than height of lamellas to exclude contact of lobes with insulated surface. Said lamellas are arranged between two adjacent lobes of strips after their pre-compression and subsequent removal of compressive force to ensure penetration of hooks into lamellas material for engagement therewith. Additional heat-insulating element is arranged between two extreme lobes.

EFFECT: simplification of heat-insulating article design, improvement of reliability, expansion of functional capabilities, and increase in ease of use.
