SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining the length of at least one electrical wire, to a device for determining the length of at least one electrical wire and to an electrical wire with marking. Method is developed for determination of wire length, containing following stages: determining (S3) the length (l1) of the first electrical conductor (L1), determining (S4) the first electrical conductor (L1) identifier, determining (S5) the length (l2) of the second electrical conductor to be mounted in the electrical wiring device, based on length (l1) of first electric wire (L1) and initial length (l0) determined by identifier, wherein initial length (l0) corresponds to wire L0, wherein first electric wire (L1) and second electric conductor (L2) are formed by cutting wires (L0) along length, at that second electrical wire L2 is partially pre-configured.
EFFECT: simplification of configuration of at least one electric wire, in particular, preparation and updating of lengths in order to configure electric wires.
