FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, to the calibration load of a vector analyzer of circuits, when measuring the parameters of symmetrical cables made of twisted pairs. The calibration load for the vector circuit analyzer contains the first wired-circuit board with pin contacts, the front sections of which are parallel to each other and the axes of the coaxial sockets of the vector circuit analyzer, and the distance between the axes of the front sections is equal to the distance between the axes of the mentioned coaxial sockets, and protruding beyond the edge of the first wired-circuit board for a length equal to the length of the wire stripping of the twisted pair under test; the second wired-circuit board with a leadless load resistor installed on it; and a test signal transmission circuit that connects the rear sections of the pin contacts with a leadless load resistor; the rear sections of the pin contacts are parallel to each other and the front sections, and the distance between them is less than the distance between the front sections, the connection of the front and rear sections of the contacts is made by a smooth passage; a twisted pair is used as a test signal transmission circuit between the rear section of the test contacts and a leadless load resistor, the characteristics of which are identical to the characteristics of the twisted pairs of a symmetrical cable tested by a vector circuit analyzer.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the measurements carried out by excluding the effect on the response of the symmetrical twisted pair cable under test, which occurs due to a change in the wave resistance of the twisted pair under test at the point of its connection to the coaxial sockets of the physical interface of the vector circuit analyzer.
