SUBSTANCE: invention relates to configuration systems of switching cabinet. Switching cabinet includes modularly built fittings composed of multiple electrical and/or electronic built-in modules and other optional components specifically for the area of application. Computer-controlled configuration system of a switching cabinet includes a computing unit containing a classification apparatus and an analysis and modelling unit for creating a batch of various arrangements of the switching cabinet with various corresponding layouts, subsequently selecting a specific layout, and performing corresponding control over the switching cabinet manufacturing line.
EFFECT: possibility of automatic optimisation of the configuration of a switching cabinet.
