SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over movement of space vehicles. Method of determining direction of laser beam on spacecraft receiving signals of laser space communication, consists in the fact that receiving and transmitting radio devices and laser radiation source are installed on transmitting and receiving spacecrafts. Controlling the direction of the laser beam along the azimuth angle and the elevation angle from the condition of laser beam scanning of the specified region of space. A laser signal is emitted from the transmitting spacecraft in the direction of the receiving spacecraft. After this signal is recorded on the receiving spacecraft in the direction of the transmitting spacecraft, a radio signal is emitted, the parameters of which determine the direction of the laser beam at the moment of detection.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of determining direction of laser beam.
