FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of laser beam movement in space, scanning and tracking methods, and can be used for navigation of spacecrafts. Proposed device comprises platform with mirror and rotary mechanism, conductor of electric current made in the form of circular turns along platform perimeter, system of electromagnets and mechanical drive. Laser beam is controlled by control current of annular turns and electromagnets and by mechanical drive for turn of platform with mirror relative to its centre of gravity for movement of laser beam into preset area of outer space at solid angles of more than 2π.
EFFECT: wider range of adjusting the direction of the laser beam while maintaining high speed of movement of the laser beam at solid angles of more than 2π.
