FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil machine building, namely to equipment for transfer of oil and gas mixtures and other multiphase fluids. Method of changing design of asynchronous electric machine used for driving multiphase pumps consists of stages, at which dismantling asynchronous electric machine, stator winding is removed, stator sheet is measured and its sketch is created, the stator of the initial asynchronous electric machine is rewound. In addition, stitched wedges are installed in narrow part of stator sheet teeth. Then the rotor core of the initial asynchronous electric machine is removed, the rotor with permanent magnets is manufactured. Permanent magnets are additionally coated with an electrically insulating coating. Electric machine is assembled with manufactured rotor with permanent magnets. At stage of final assembly of electric motor there used is housing of initial asynchronous electric machine, bed plate, shields, shaft, bearings, explosion-proof elements of initial asynchronous electric machine.

EFFECT: technical result of claimed group of inventions is higher energy efficiency and increased resource of plant.
