FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrical insulation system for impregnating in vacuum and under pressure of electrical machines, in particular large electrical machines, which insulation system is based on thermally cured epoxy resin. Acid-free insulation system includes mica paper or a mica tape for wrapping parts of an electric motor, which are potentially current-carrying during operation of the engine, which mica paper or the mica tape can be impregnated in a vacuum and under pressure with a thermally cured epoxy resin composition and includes a thermally activated curing initiator for the epoxy resin composition consisting of one or more quaternary ammonium salts of an aromatic-heterocyclic compound which contains 1 or 2 nitrogen atoms, and a complex anion, in an amount sufficient for curing epoxy resin, absorbed by mica paper or mica tape and structural part of engine during impregnation step in vacuum and under pressure. Besides, there is an anhydride isolation system with them.

EFFECT: disclosed is an electrical insulation system based on epoxy resins for generators and motors.
