FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a solid insulating material, its use for making insulation systems by vacuum impregnation method, as well as to an electrical machine, which includes an insulation system. Solid insulating material contains a substrate, a barrier material, an adhesive tape glue with the first ion-hardening catalyst, and a composition suitable for impregnation of insulating material. Barrier material is made from mica in the form of flakes. Adhesive tape glue is present in form of epoxy novolac and/or epoxy-phenol novolac with functional groups n = 0.1–8 and is inert relative to first curing catalyst. First hardening catalyst is present in the form of a superacid and/or a superacid derivative, and under vacuum impregnation conditions reacts with cycloaliphatic epoxy groups of the impregnation agent. Duration of gelling is 1 to 15 hours at impregnation temperature. Solid insulating material is used to make an insulation system used in medium- and high-voltage electrical machines, in electric distribution devices with medium and high voltage, outputs, outputs of transformers, outputs of generators, and/or outputs of high-voltage installations for DC transmission. Electric machine includes insulation system made using said insulating material.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an insulating material with high glass transition temperature.
