FIELD: computer equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for determining a depth map for a scene image comprises an active depth sensor and a passive depth sensor for determining a depth map for the image. Device additionally comprises a light determining unit which determines a light indication indicating the light characteristic for the scene. Light indication may, in particular, reflect the level of visible and/or infrared light for the scene. Depth map processor determines an output depth map for the image by combining the first depth map and the second depth map. In particular, the depth value for the output depth map is defined as a combination of depth values of the first and second depth maps, where combination depends on the light indication. Light determining unit evaluates the first infrared light indication from the visible light indicating the light level in the visible light spectrum.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of image quality.
