FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) used to record and measure objects in a given region. To control the UAV for the recorded and measured area, an almost unobstructed flight area is set, in which the UAV conducts survey measurements of the region using the appropriate sensors and techniques. Based on the survey measurements, a three-dimensional digital model is determined for the measured area together with the objects in it. Sequence of positions for detailed measurements and an unobstructed flight route for UAV, which is taken as a basis for its control, are determined based on a three-dimensional digital model.
EFFECT: enabling automatic control and measurement of objects from air.
