FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an aircraft for monitoring the operational state and determining the probability of failure of energized systems of power transmission lines in the form of overhead transmission line systems (OTL). Aircraft 1 in the form of a helicopter is equipped with system 14 of sensors for measuring physical properties of overhead power transmission lines, as well as high-resolution digital cameras 13 for obtaining image data and a high-resolution laser scanning system 12 for recording environmental conditions. Sensor system 14, digital cameras 13 and laser scanning system 12 are connected to satellite navigation systems, except GPS, wherein the collected data are linked to each other through location and time reference and correlated with each other. Control is carried out for a single flight of aircraft 1 based on a given flight profile, and the obtained data is transmitted to a processing unit, which, after corresponding evaluation, directly displays or issues recommendations on necessary repair and/or preservation of operability to the unit for issuing recommendations.
EFFECT: invention discloses a method and an aircraft for monitoring the operational state and determining the probability of failure of energized power transmission systems.
